"The ClackaCraft LP's are the best boats we have rowed period (yes, including the wooden boat Brian built himself). They hold effortlessly in the strong currents of the Yellowstone and track beautifully. Most importantly the weight forward design helps to keep the stern higher in the water, reducing drag, making our job a heck of a lot easier."

"What does having four back operations and a drift boat with so many firsts have in common? Absolutely nothing. But when I'm loading an avid angler in his wheelchair into my low-profile ClackaCraft boat or an angler who has trouble getting in or out of the boat, they have everything in common."

"Before buying my first drift boat, I talked to every guide I knew. The overwhelming preference was ClackaCraft. Now that I have one, I know why. The 16' Weight Forward Guide Model is perfect for all the fishing that I do; maneuverable enough for small California tail waters, yet roomy enough for three people and gear for a longer trip."

"I consider my 16' WF to be the thinking man's drift boat. It has technological advances that other drift boats lack: the widest bottom in the industry for superior stability, the tunnel hull for quick response to the oars and effortless rowing, tracking channels to keep it rowing straight. In short, this boat has it all!"

"I couldn't imagine my life with out my Clacka...I've pushed it to it's limits in massive rapids and technical water...The Clacka outshines the competition! It's versitility, performance and durability are standard. It's the boat to have."

Big water, big rock and big winds, two or three clients and load of gear, just a typical day on the Deschutes River. Our guides need quick maneuverability and split second response from their boats, and that's what we get from Clackacraft Boats. Simply stated,"The best boat I've rowed and I've rowed them all". "The ClackaCraft LP's are the most comforable drift boats to row and fish out of period!  The new gulfstream bottom and tunnel hull track great in all waters.  I have enjoyed rowing Clacks for 8 years and our experienced guide staff row nothing else but a Clackacraft!

“No other area offers such diverse waters, and no other boat is as suited for the job as my Clackacraft 15LP. This boat is safe, durable, quiet and user friendly. From high water on the Big Hole to the slick on the upper Beaverhead – Clackacraft makes me a one boat man. Clackacrafts’ attention to detail is second to none. We drive some pretty gnarly roads out in these parts, and our trailers fall apart before the boats do. Now that’s saying something!

"The 16' Weight Forward model is everything I desire in a drift boat. The amount of well placed storage is incredible coinciding with 'in-boat maneuverability. In past years, I tested the durability of the boats. My aim now is to apply the comforts of the boat with their tough construction."

"As a full-time guide rowing over 200 days a year, I need a boat that is easy to row (the ClackaCraft takes half the effort of a comparable aluminum boat), will track (your tunnel design is the best), is stable enough to fish trophy techniques from, gives my clients the room and comfort they need, runs quietly, and will run in very shallow water."

There’s Clackacraft and there’s not exactly. I’ve rowed a lot of different boats while guiding the past 15 years, none except Clackacraft are able to give me what I want in a guide boat. The 15’LP handles like a sports car on the Madison’s obstacle filled course. I feel confident that my client’s are getting the best in comfort and ease of fishability while I get the benefits of the weight forward design and new Gulfstream bottom.

"My ClackaCraft is THE best boat for a guide like me: full-time, hard-working, and always searching out new water. Whether I am dropping it down a rocky bank at a secret river access or stalking shallow water sippers, my Clacka is amazingly tough, but handles with ease and stealth. The 16 LP glides under the wind, but can turn on a dime when I run through a low-water rock garden. Low-water, high winds, gear-head clients, with my Clacka it is all 'no worries, mon'".

Ryan Anderson

Home: Casper, WY
home River: North Platte River (Grey Reef)

Out here in the land of big fish and even bigger wind you need a low profile boat. My guide staff and I all row LPs or Headhunter Skiffs because they catch less wind but are still comfortable to fish from. The Gulf Stream tunnel hull bottom on these boats really cut down on drag. A drag free boat makes it a lot easier to get our clients drag free drift. Also, the boys at Clacka have always taken great care of me, my staff and everyone I’ve referred to them.

When fishing is no longer a passion but an obsession you will demand nothing but the absolute best.  The quiet waters of the Southeast require a boat so stealthy, so agile, yet so tough that you are able to sneak up and introduce yourself to any fish whether it be a trout, smallmouth, or musky.  There is no other boat to meet these demands better than Clacka’s Headhunter Skiff. Having the skiff’s grace and maneuverability to sneak up on fish has taken my guiding to another level.
